Oct 1, 2017 – Managing Breakups in the Scene: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly with Sir Eric Pride

An inevitable reality about relationships is that they may not last forever. The same of course is true for relationships in the scene. Breakups are taxing, stressful and very emotional.

In this presentation we talk about why lifestyle relationships sometimes come to an end, how to handle the breakup process, and how to get back on our feet again. Questions we will address include: How are lifestyle and vanilla breakups different? What are “fair breakups”? How do we handle our own and previous partner’s feelings and emotions? How do we deal with family, friends and other people who are affected by the breakup? How do we get back out there?

This presentation is conducted as an interactive discussion.

At MAsT (Masters and slaves Together) Metro New York, we discuss real life M/s. You do not have to be in an M/s relationship to attend, just interested in learning the real life issues that power exchange relationships deal with.  We meet at the LGBT Community Center at 208 West 13th Street, NYC, between 7th and 8th Aves. Doors open at 2:00 pm.  Meeting runs from around 2:20 to 5:00 pm. The admission is $4 for members, $5 for reciprocal members/students with ID and $8 for all others.

As always, please feel free to bring your own snack and/or something to share with the group.  Also, please remember to check the board for room number.
